8:30am to 9:00am – Morning Meditation with Matthew Brownstein
9:00am to 12:00pm (One break around 10:30am) – Matthew Brownstein, President, International Association of Interpersonal Hypnotherapists
- Keynote Speech and Presentation – Redefining Facilitation: Embracing a Path of Healing and Enlightenment
This year’s Conference provides additional powerful tools and techniques to enhance your hypnotherapy practice based upon the theme of healing and enlightenment. Most therapy and medicine are based upon a movement away from sickness by treating symptoms, yet where the client is not necessarily guided towards a true path of healing and enlightenment. This Conference is dedicated exclusively to a movement in a direction that is truly meaningful and worthy of our attention.
In Matthew Brownstein’s book The Sutras on Healing and Enlightenment, “Healing and enlightenment are synonymous terms, which both arise with the knowledge and awareness of Truth.” This is a very different model than we find in western medicine and psychology. Here our focus is on using powerful transformational modalities to guide ourselves and our clients back into an experiential state of being “perfect, whole, and complete.” Humanity needs this now more than ever and Interpersonal Hypnotherapy and its related modalities are working to be a part of that solution.
12:00pm to 1:10pm – Lunch
1:10pm to 2:40pm – Dr. Abby Parsons, Clinical and Transpersonal Hypnotherapist
- Moving towards Wholeness with Universal Truth-talk: The Language and Vocabulary of Source
Truth-talk as used in our Hypnotherapy sessions finds its base in Spirit and is universal, all-inclusive. Strengthening spiritual understanding and developing an ever-clearer receptivity or ability to intuit, hear, and speak that which Higher Intelligence imparts, can peak the effectiveness of our work. A study of recommended textbooks in our training enables one to imbibe the Spirit of Truth and Love and can supply needed vocabulary for ease when incorporating Truth-talk in a session. These works include Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy; A Course in Miracles, by Helen Schucman, PhD; and our own Matthew Brownstein’s, The Sutras on Healing and Enlightenment.
The focus of this presentation will be primarily on words and ideas from Science and Health since it has been a major textbook in my decades-long metaphysical healing practice. The coinciding of listening to a client while simultaneously attending to Spirit (or Higher Intelligence) enables naturalness in speaking Truth to clients, like a clean transparency allows more and more light to enter and enlighten a room. When Truth-talk is understood as universal we can be assured that the power of these words will resonate with every client, clear major blocks, and demonstrate the highest good with the best outcome. The words our clients speak in response to questions at intake allow us to incorporate their own terms, their own spirituality, their own beliefs, and convictions when speaking with the vocabulary of Truth that leads to wholeness.
3:00pm to 4:40pm – Dr. Chris Coslett, Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine
- Utilizing Our Neural Landscape to Guide Hypnotic Healing, Learning and Well-being: A Mental Integrative Network Development (M.I.N.D.) Paradigm
As recipients of the most advanced central control systems on the planet, we have been gifted with a tiered cacophony of unconscious, subconscious, and conscious brain-based networks. These hierarchical levels of control assist us in navigating our existence and experience in this world. Come join us as we bring clarity and explore the attributes of the key tiered neural networks supporting the various depths and facilitation of “state change”. Throughout this session we will incorporate brief exercises to tangibly experience these shifts in the seamless flow that working with an understanding of the terrain facilitates. In the physical realm, we learn key muscles, how they move our body and then we can choose our dance. Similarly, with a foundational understanding of the various brain processing hubs, their” persona” and morphed roles in the global brain network schema, we find our true voice and purpose for realizing happiness and wellbeing through selecting and training for “Right Thinking & Action”.
5:00pm to 6:30pm – Rebecca Zayas, Clinical and Interpersonal Hypnotherapist, IIH Instructor
- Past-Life and Life-Between-Life Regression on the Path to Healing and Enlightenment:
Join IIH Orlando Instructor, Rebecca Zayas as she explores how past-life and life-between-life exploration can help heal emotional wounds, including repressed memories. Together we will explore how these modalities could certainly be metaphorical journeys, yet whether real or imagined, how they can support our journey into healing and enlightenment. During this dynamic presentation, the benefits of building self-love, self-acceptance, and self-forgiveness are integrated into this work to help clients achieve higher states of consciousness in alignment with their greatest good.

- Stages of Consciousness Leading to Enlightenment: Collective Awakening through Hypnotherapy
As facilitators of healing, we help our clients move into states of forgiveness, compassion, and love. A ripple effect is created, and the healing is often felt by family and friends. So, what part does our work play in raising the collective consciousness? And why is it so important to maintain focus on forgiveness, compassion, and love within hypnotherapy? This presentation will address both questions, as well as reviewing Dr. David Hawkins’ system of measuring the stages of consciousness leading to Enlightenment – and our part, as facilitators of healing, in that progression.
12:00pm to 1:10pm – Lunch
1:10 pm to 2:40pm – Dr. Kelsey Evans-Amalu
- Trauma Informed Contemplative Interventions: How to make mindfulness-based practices accessible for all
In embracing the path toward greater healing and enlightenment, we must be aware of what practices we choose and with whom. According to research, 70% of adults in the U.S. have experienced some type of traumatic event at least once in their lives. That’s 223.4 million people. What this means for the contemplative community, is that in any environment where contemplative interventions (meditation hypnosis, yoga nidra, etc.) are being practiced (inclusive of yogic spaces, private offices, clinical spaces, schools, etc.), there’s a high likelihood that someone will be struggling with traumatic stress. And while not everyone who has experienced trauma will have an adverse response to contemplative based practices, we need to be prepared and aware of this possibility and create accessibility and agency for all who practice. This conversation is rooted in the work of Dr. David Treleaven and Resmaa Menakem and will outline ways to facilitate brave spaces and accessibility for everyone to practice contemplative based interventions through more agentic measures. Dr. Kelsey Evans-Amalu will also provide tangible takeaways for teachers of contemplative traditions (yoga, meditation, hypnosis, etc.) to apply to their own classrooms, private practices, and studios. Included in this workshop will be a Trauma Informed Vipassana Meditation and discussion to integrate post-meditation.
3:00pm to 4:45pm – Esteban Londono, Clinical and Transpersonal Hypnotherapist, IIH Instructor
- Love Garden: Understanding and working with the Subconscious Mind
Join IIH Instructor Esteban Londono for a metaphorical journey into a first hypnotherapy session. This presentation offers a thorough explanation of how the subconscious works metaphorically comparing it to a garden. This is a clear way to help clients understand how the subconscious works and to start creating the changes that they desire. The client is asked to close his/her eyes and envision a garden. They are led to understand that they have a responsibility to bring that garden to a beautiful state. Then they are given the necessary “gardening tools” that they need for a powerful inner blossoming. Those tools all bring peace and empower the client to start working on the necessary changes to transform their lives from within.
