IAIH Liability Insurance

IAIH Certified Hypnotherapists are encouraged to carry general and professional liability insurance. We are recognized by the American Professional Agency, Inc. for professional liability insurance and we often recommend Lockton Affinity Health or the Energy Medicine Professional Association, which have covered general and professional liability insurance in one policy. Such insurance is inexpensive and can protect your assets. We encourage you to do your research and to get legal advice as necessary to ensure that you understand your own personal and professional situation, as the IAIH does not endorse any one company for any one member. * Hypnotherapy Training is taught at the Institute of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy®, through the Florida Department of Education’s Commission for Independent Education, License #3448.  IIH is licensed to teach medical/clinical hypnotherapy as a school, yet all practitioners are required to work within the confines of Federal, State, County, and City laws.  All medical, mental health, or dental conditions require the appropriate referral, prescription, supervision, or direction from a qualified licensed practitioner of the healing arts as per Florida Statute 485.  All graduates who are not licensed practitioners of the healing arts are not to use words such as healing, treat, cure, or diagnose as we strongly discourage operating outside of the scope of one’s credentials.
