The IAIH is pleased to present its 2019 May Conference at the Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore hotel from May 24th to May 26th. With twelve exceptional presenters, and three days of education that yield 30-hours of CEUs, we are very excited about this next major IAIH event. From his time living in India in the Himalayas, Matthew Brownstein will present on deep altered states of consciousness, which involve advanced yogic philosophical and psychological systems. We also pleased to welcome “Master of the Mind”, Guy Bavli, for a special Saturday evening of entertainment filled with Mentalism and Psychic Entertainment. Guy is a graduate of IIH and has become a world-renowned performance artist.
Yogic Psychology, Philosophy and Deep Altered States
As hypnotherapists, our fascination with the mind is what has led many of us to this chosen this path, because we are aware that there is so much more to the mind than the western world view acknowledges. We are fascinated by the magic and mysticism of ancient India because the yogic adepts have explored the mind and its deeper aspects for many thousands of years. Matthew has spent over 25 years learning about the mystical branches of Indian Philosophy and Psychology, with over five of those years actually living in monasteries, ashrams and spiritual communities – both in the States and abroad.
Matthew’s presentation and keynote speech at the IAIH Conference will kick off the three days of presentations by helping us to understand eastern views of hypnosis, and how deep meditative states can greatly enhance not only our practice as hypnotherapists, but also our own mystical experiences.
