We’ve all heard the affirmation, “Every day, in every way, I get better and better.” This simple phrase might seem like a cute idea that could easily be written off as mere positive thinking. A thought to be considered once, and then to be let go of. However, if we truly consider this one line in relationship to a solid education in hypnotherapy, and as a basis for our lives, we have a very powerful presupposition to work from. Read more here…
Is My Life Getting Better and Better?
This question relates to core principles of how the Universe functions. Are things getting better and better anyway? It would appear that the Universe is evolving and expanding, and that things would indeed be improving slowly in an evolutionary model. However, such a model acknowledges extremely long periods of time for change to occur. This change is said to occur at random and that the better functioning changes that unfold tend to remain for a period of time only to fade away again based upon the law of entropy. However, for those who wish to live their lives consciously and intentionally, then this mere waiting for chance to make things better does not suffice.
So, How Do I Make My Life Better and Better?
In hypnosis and hypnotherapy certification training, we acknowledge the power of the mind and our ability to make choices. The more we practice conscious and intentional thinking, the more we can begin to see the results in our everyday lives. Simple choices to be more loving, kind, peaceful and generous make significant differences in how we experience our time on this planet. When such empowered thinking is utilized with the whole of our mind (conscious and subconscious), we have a powerhouse of creative thought ready to make every aspect of our life better and better.
Why Overgeneralize?
Specific statements can yield us specific goals, yet general statements can cover all areas of our lives. If we decide to focus on success in every aspect of our life, that one simple intention can make a huge difference over time. To become a hypnotherapist is to honor that you are indeed powerful, and that you can make the changes in your life that you feel are needed. Being specific can be very important, yet as part of a daily meditation practice, it is often beneficial to be quite general and simply to get our deep inner mind working with us to habitually think the thought over and over again that “Every day, in every way, my life is getting better and better.”
