Becoming a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist can be exceptionally rewarding, and a solid training in hypnotherapy can open many doors for graduates of State-Licensed Schools. The training itself offers significant personal and spiritual growth and offers a career that you can always fall back upon, yet many people are interested in what they can do after they graduate from hypnosis school. Can you open a full-time practice, part-time practice, use it as an adjunct to other trainings, or even work in medical or corporate settings? Read more here to find out…
Operating A Full-Time Hypnotherapy Practice for a Career
As a postsecondary vocational institute licensed by the Department of Education, we have a responsibility to the graduates of our hypnosis trainings to help them to succeed with their goals. We can never make promises about what will happen after graduation, yet we can say that many of our graduates open their own offices, advertise and promote themselves to get their phones to ring, and as full-time practitioners, they see about 15 to 25 clients per week. Those who achieve this level of success become their own boss, make their own hours and typically charge $60 to $90 per hour with sessions usually lasting two hours each.
Running a Part-Time Hypnotherapy Practice
In this case, graduates will either share office space with other graduates, or existing practitioners or will rent a room out of a holistic health or medical center. Oftentimes arrangements are made in these cases where hypnotherapists either pay a low monthly rent due to the smaller amount of time that they use the office, or they may pay a percentage of their income to the business itself. The latter option makes for minimal to no monthly set expenses for the hypnotherapist and creates a win-win situation for everyone involved. Part-time practice is a great way to supplement your income while always having a career to fall back upon.
Integrating Hypnotherapy into an Existing Occupation
Many graduates of our hypnotherapy school are already practitioners of the healing arts to one degree or another. For instance, a massage therapist might incorporate basic hypnosis into the massage therapy session or he or she might see clients on the side for complete hypnotherapy sessions. Doctors, dentists, psychotherapists, mental health counselors, reiki practitioners, acupuncturists and other holistic health professionals all find great value in adding hypnotherapy services for their clients. This not only allows you to charge more money for your sessions, but it can actually add more sessions to an already existing client load.
What about going through just for personal growth?
Absolutely! Many graduates go through our full 500 hours of hypnosis training only intending to do it for their own personal and spiritual growth. The skillsets learned through a solid hypnosis certification program improve relationship skills, help with goal setting and offer countless self-help techniques for improving one’s life in a myriad of ways. For instance, our Life Mastery Course is invaluable for those looking to use the power of their mind to improve all aspects of their life.
