Body-Mind Miracles through Hypnotherapy

It has become ever more common knowledge that the mind has a profound influence over the body.  People are becoming more and more optimistic that the mind can become a part of their overall healing process, and that miraculous healings can become possible when traditional medical care falls short.  The real issue with mind-body healing is that changes in the mind need to manifest in the body and we need to see measurable results.  Healing the heart and mind is beautiful, yet if the change is not observed physically, then a person suffering from some type of physical ailment misses the full benefits of the treatment.

Can Hypnotherapy help to bridge the gap within mind-body healing?

The simple answer is yes.  There are powerful studies and techniques that arise out of the field of Psycho Neurophysiology that prove to us the importance of using the mind in complementary care.  What we find with the use of hypnosis is that changes can occur within the subconscious mind, and through skillful technique these changes can manifest into the physical body with a higher level of probability.  For instance, when treating Irritable Bowel Syndrome, we can help the mind to be more at peace and the heart to be more at ease, yet we must also see change in the symptoms of IBS or the healing is not complete.  Well-tested hypnotic techniques have indeed shown that IBS symptoms can be reduced or eliminated when healing and pain management techniques are applied within the overall strategy.  This applies to psychosomatic illness, yet it also applies to conditions that are not caused by the mind, but that the mind can help to heal or at least bring relief to.

What is the role of miracles in mind-body healing and hypnosis?

A miracle is not necessarily a shift in the body.  A miracle can be seen as a shift in the mind that has a ripple effect within the body.  When the mind shifts from fear to love, then the body tends to respond quite positively.  When a person is led from the fight-or-flight mode of being into a rest-digest-and-heal way of functioning, then the body automatically finds homeostasis within itself and with its environment.  Because the mind can change instantly, the corresponding physical shifts can occur instantly.  Hypnosis provides a gateway to tap into the deep inner mind, where the change needs to occur, and allows for these miraculous shifts to happen in more strategic and systematic ways.  Miracles in this context, are no longer mere guesswork, but relate to proven methodologies that create powerful, positive change.

Can a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist bring miracles to medical settings or work with complementary-minded physicians?

Yes!  Most state laws simply require that a physician provides a referral, prescription, supervision or direction to use hypnotherapy as a complementary medical modality.  A well-trained hypnotherapist with state-licensed diplomas is in an exceptional place to do what most physicians simply do not have the time to do.  Hypnotherapists often take many hours with their clients to empower them to heal their mind and to heal their bodies.  When this is done in a integrative manner, then everyone is made better off.  Physicians see longer lasting and more holistic change, patients feel more whole and empowered, and the hypnotherapist feels the rewarding feeling of knowing that he or she made a tremendous difference in another person’s life.

The human body is capable of miraculous healing, so when the mind-body connection is truly understood, we all stand to live happier, more empowered and overall healthier lives.
