Transpersonal Hypnotherapy Training is so much more than just Past-Life Regression Training, yet in our school this makes for a significant portion of our in-house hands on practical hours where students practice past-life regressions on each other.
What is Past-Life Regression Therapy?
Simply stated, the model of reincarnation implies that we, as spirit, have had multiple lifetimes on this earth before this human birth. Therefore, just as we can regress people to their childhoods in hypnosis, so too we can suggest that people regress back to their past-lives. In deep hypnosis, the subconscious mind can show us profound, emotional, and often very significant stories that, when transformed, can positively influence our present-day lives.
Is Past-Life Regression Therapy Real?
There is no solid scientific proof for reincarnation, yet there are many cases of verified past-life regressions that lead us to believe that there is a probability that we are tapping into true past life memories. Almost all experienced hypnotherapists have uncovered memories within the subconscious mind that are not of this present life. We cannot say for certain that these are actual past lives, yet we need to treat them as such. We cannot tell a client in hypnosis that they are just making up stories and that we must end the session. To the contrary, we treat the information as if it were real, yet always remind the client that the information uncovered could just be a metaphorical journey and that they will benefit from taking responsibility for the session because the information is relevant to them.
What does it take to Become a Past-Life Regression Hypnotherapist?
At the Institute of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy, Past-Life Regression Training and Life-Between-Life Regression Training is part of our Transpersonal Hypnotherapist Program. This is a 100-hour State-Licensed program yielding true State-Licensed Diplomas, and it is the latter part of a 500-hour overall training at our school. We put the transpersonal teachings at the end of the training because some people want to become hypnotherapists, but are not interested in the spiritual themes, and because we feel that students should be trained in very solid hypnotherapy protocols before they start dealing with the more metaphysical concepts. This ensures that high educational standards, ethics and professionalism go along with the deeper spiritual principles that are taught in this portion of the training.
