To learn hypnosis, we often begin with techniques that are designed to influence the subconscious mind. Many even pursue hypnotherapy education with a desire to have some apparent control over others. However, most people who are drawn to become a certified hypnotherapist do so out of a desire to be of service to others, as their hearts are rooted in compassion and love. This leads to the understanding of the importance of the synthesis of comprehensive hypnosis training and an increasing movement into the very heart of love itself as rooted in true forgiveness.
In Interpersonal Hypnotherapy, we strive to maintain the highest standards of excellence in the process of helping students to learn hypnosis, yet we also understand the immense value of the simple principles of oneness, love, kindness, compassion, and perhaps most importantly, forgiveness.
To learn hypnosis, we must be solid in our techniques of induction, deepening, suggestion delivery, and other transformative techniques that lead a person from suffering to freedom. However, if the emphasis is not on the relationships that reside within the subconscious mind itself, then we often miss the point of true transformation. Once we discover that underneath many of our own personal issues are unresolved beliefs and emotions, then we inevitably see that memories are intimately interwoven with these repetitive thought processes (beliefs) and these negative feelings (emotions). Within the memory we find various relationships with others that our younger self has had to deal with.
Within these memories we find ‘un-forgiveness’ at the root of virtually every problem that we have. Therefore, a solid education in hypnotherapy must provide the techniques to get to the root cause of issues and also the deeper principles that bring about true forgiveness. We are therefore pleased to be welcoming Institute graduate Dee Woolridge to present at the current 2016 June IAIH Hypnotherapy Conference on the essence of true forgiveness within the context of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy:
