Learning Hypnosis and NLP
Hypnotherapy training offers us the ability to be empowered with life-transforming tools for ourselves and for others. Students who go through this type of training find their lives forever changed, and yet the training itself is only the beginning of the journey. Throughout our hypnosis education and after it, there are many powerful modalities that supplement the work that we do, and this certainly would include Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). What is Hypnosis?
We define hypnosis as a natural, yet altered state of mind, marked by a high degree of responsiveness to suggestions. In this state, we have access to the part of our being that powerfully influences our daily lives. Without even knowing it, our subconscious minds govern our behaviors, habits, emotions, belief systems, and the majority of our bodily functions. Through hypnosis training we learn how to tap into this part of our mind and to align it with our highest intentions.
What is Hypnosis Training?
To learn hypnosis, it is highly recommended to attend a true state-licensed postsecondary vocational institute. Such an education not only offers a solid foundation in the fundamentals of hypnotism that moves the student into far more advanced techniques, but prepares the student for a career as a certified hypnotherapist. A rewarding career helping others following hypnotherapy training is, for many, a dream come true.
What is NLP?
Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a system of thought that helps us to achieve excellence in anything that we put our minds to. Over the years, NLP has developed countless techniques that allow us to produce fast and effective change on many levels. From simple rapport building techniques to advanced language patterns, an NLP practitioner adds tools to an ideally already robust toolset. One of the core presuppositions of NLP is that if someone else can do something, then so can anyone else as long as they align their minds in the same way. Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy training combine perfectly with these techniques and this powerful way of thinking.
Do I Learn NLP in my Hypnosis Training?
Yes. The Institute of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy offers basic and advanced NLP techniques in its training. This training is approximately 20 hours of the total 500 hours of hypnosis training. This is where students find another path to explore after graduation where they can continue their journey with a comprehensive NLP training that usually becomes 90 to 120 hours of additional training to supplement one’s hypnosis education.
IIH training creates very competent practitioners, and with each new technique we are that much more capable of helping in any given situation. Once your certification in hypnotherapy is complete, then the journey really begins.
