At the Institute of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy, we are often asked if it is legal to practice hypnotherapy if you are not a licensed mental health practitioner or if you are not a physician.
The Institute of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy is dedicated to you. We primarily exist for those who are looking to grow personally, spiritually and professionally.
We work tirelessly to deliver the best possible education in Hypnotherapy, and while there is a solid business side to our work, we offer this blog as a way to remind our students, graduates and prospective students about the real reason that we exist. Hypnotherapy transforms lives and therefore transforms our world.
So many people move through their lives without purpose or direction. People work jobs that they hate, limit themselves from achieving their full potential, and always wonder why they do not feel happy and fulfilled.
Becoming a Hypnotherapist with 500+ hours of training from a State-Licensed School is something to be proud of. To be a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, with legitimate diplomas and IAIH Certifications, puts you in a category that is way beyond a weekend hypnosis workshop or a simple online hypnosis training course.
Because hypnotherapy acknowledges our emotions, it has a profound way to transform the way we see the events that unfold in our lives. Grief can indeed be transformed into peace, loss can be seen with more beauty, and even death can be viewed as a glorious transition into higher levels of being. The change all begins with a change within each of us as hypnotherapists, teachers and healers.

IPAA & Hypnotherapy: Understanding your Responsibilities as a Hypnotherapist and Protecting Client Confidentiality

IIH offers two ways for you to get started with your hypnotherapy training for no cost or obligation.

* Hypnotherapy Training is taught at the Institute of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy®, through the Florida Department of Education’s Commission for Independent Education, License #3448. IIH is licensed to teach medical/clinical hypnotherapy as a school, yet all practitioners are required to work within the confines of Federal, State, County, and City laws. All medical, mental health, or dental conditions require the appropriate referral, prescription, supervision, or direction from a qualified licensed practitioner of the healing arts as per Florida Statute 485. All graduates who are not licensed practitioners of the healing arts are not to use words such as healing, treat, cure, or diagnose as we strongly discourage operating outside of the scope of one’s credentials.
There is currently no charge to take these lessons and you only need to sign up if you want to start working to work to become a Certified Anahat Meditation Teacher. Signing up allows us to send you email notifications about upcoming classes and events.
